Filipino Dragons (Singapore) has grown to a large team over the years. Here’s a little bit of our history.
Filipino Dragons (Singapore) was formally registered with the Registry of Societies – Ministry of Home Affairs on December 13.
Fresh from the excitement of being the first and only Filipino dragon boat team in Singapore, Filipino Dragons (Singapore) began 2009 with intensity and hunger to perform.
On it’s second year, Filipino Dragons (Singapore) embarked on its first-ever international race. FDS enhanced its training programs which resulted in medals at SAVA Sprints International and Singapore River Regatta.
Filipino Dragons (Singapore) held the first-ever Philippine community fun race in conjunction with the celebration of the 113th independence of the Philippines. The team also garnered numerous awards and medals in various Singapore and International races.
Filipino Dragons (Singapore), competitive as ever, embarked on a journey to challenge the best of the world’s club crew teams in the 2012 Club Crew World Championships (CCWC). The team also took part in Singapore’s National Day Parade in support of our second home’s independence celebration.
In 2013, Filipino Dragons (Singapore) continues to grow not only as a dragon boat team but as a community. FDS participated once again in the Philippine Independence Day Celebration 2013 (PIDC) entitled: “Iba ka Pinoy: Embracing Diversity, Making a Difference!“.
